As Chairman and CEO of PMK*BNC, one of the largest and most influential communications, marketing and consultancy firms in the world of popular culture and entertainment, Michael Nyman has established himself as a leading authority with keen cultural insights in bridging the worlds of entertainment and brands.
Nyman, a 26-year veteran, led the historic merger of his previous firm, Bragman Nyman Cafarelli (BNC), with the renowned entertainment publicity power PMK, in the fall of 2009.
Today, he is responsible for operating and charting the future course for the 250-person firm, with a roster of more than 900 entertainment and Fortune 500 clients, across three offices in Los Angeles, New York and London.
Nyman has architected award-winning campaigns and advised clients ranging from JC Penney, Pepsi, Samsung Mobile, Nicholas Sparks, Activision, Mandeville Films, The Academy of Country Music, CW Network, Jordan Brand (Nike) and Shonda Rhimes to American Express, T-Mobile, Beiersdorf, BeatsbyDre, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Emmy Awards) and Conde’ Nast.
In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees at Brentwood School in Los Angeles, Nyman is a Board Member of WPO/YPO Angeleno Chapter, serves on the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, on the Board of Advisors for USC’s Greif School of Entrepreneurial Studies and the Alumni Advisory Board at USC’s Annenberg School. Nyman, a graduate of University of Southern California (B.A.), resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
