From building teams and systems to managing all marketing functions in both publicly held and private companies, Lisa King is a consumer marketing and branding professional with over 20 years of significant experience. As the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Creative Director at Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, the 7th largest and 3rd fastest growing U.S. furniture retailer, Lisa is responsible for brand strategy and development including: marketing, promotional advertising, CRM, creative direction, media strategy, web development, web user experience and traffic growth, statistics and measurement systems and PR. Throughout her career, she has developed consumer-centric marketing strategies and worked extensively with C-suite and senior-level executives.

Prior to joining Raymour & Flanigan in 2004, Lisa served as the Vice President of Advertising at Galyan’s Sports & Outdoor Adventure for six years. In this role, Lisa led a corporate brand study, which included consumer research, competitive analysis and customer modeling. She also executed an internal and external brand and marketing strategy prior to the company’s IPO.
Always on the lookout to improve efficiencies and cut costs, Lisa also created and implemented a plan to bring advertising and design in house—a move that saved over $1 million annually. She also established and implemented overall processes for marketing and advertising planning, campaign management, communication and buyer planning and integration.

Lisa’s career began at Dick’s Sporting Goods where she spent 10 years with the company through its early years of aggressive growth. Soon after joining the team, she was challenged with bringing advertising, marketing planning and production in house. Under her direction, Lisa built a team and managed all print media planning, buying, production, photography, ad placement and creative. As a member of the leadership team managing the aggressive expansion, Lisa worked closely with the real-estate team to conduct cost/benefit analysis for all new markets. In addition, she coordinated store opening marketing programs including print media and in-store graphics and POP materials.

Lisa thrives on challenging the norm, constantly raising the bar and creating innovative approaches to all aspects of marketing and the consumer experience with the brand.
